As an Early College High School, ASTI provides a rigorous curriculum that prepares each and every student for study at the community college and university level.

In the 9th and 10th grades students complete 2 years of high school study with the option of additional college courses in the evenings or summers. During the 11th and 12th grades, students enroll in 3 or more college courses per semester at the College of Alameda and Laney College while also maintaining a load of 4 high school courses. Through their studies at the college level, students have the opportunity to complete the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) requirements and/or an Associate of Arts degree.
