The ASTI counselor holds Family Information College Nights for each grade level during the fall semester. Those nights provide important information related to high school graduation and four year college planning, including:
- Meeting A-G requirements, IGETC requirements, and Associate’s Degree requirements
- Financial aid
- Admission to the University of California and California State University systems
- Preparing college applications
- Transitioning from ASTI classes to registering for and taking coursework at the College of Alameda
Student and family attendance at the Family Information Nights each fall is crucial to understanding a student’s progress toward high school graduation and postsecondary goals. We ask that all students and families prioritize attendance at these events.
Family Information Night PowerPoints and handouts can be found under the "Resources" section of the counseling section of this website.
